Shannon has been recognized by Corrections Today, published by the American Correctional Association, as one of the "Best in the Business" for her work using social media for investigations.  She has spoken at conferences in San Diego, Denver, Boulder, Seattle, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, and Fort Lauderdale.  Shannon has provided investigative training for the Idaho Department of Corrections, Illinois Department of Corrections, and the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency in Washington, DC.
